NY 412 was assigned in the mid-1930s to an east–west roadway linking Hamilton College to NY 12B in the village of Clinton.[1][2] It was truncated on its western end to NY 233 in the early 1950s.[4][5] Most of the former routing of NY 412 to Hamilton College became part of County Route 13 by 1978;[6] however, the easternmost 0.03 miles (0.05 km) is still state-maintained as NY 922C, an unsigned reference route.[3]
The entire route is in Oneida County.
